✨December at Sunshine Day Bakery (A Little Late But filled With Christmas Cheer!)

Well… here we are on December 27th, and I’m just sitting down to write this. December had other plans for me, and those plans involved a lot of cookies!

The last month and a half truly was a whirlwind, with travel that took me all over the U.S., and every spare minute was spent back where I love to be most, in my kitchen, preparing for Christmas cookie season.

This photo pretty much sums it all up. Piles of red, green, and white icing bags, mixed and ready, stacked high and waiting for their moment. It was weeks of prepping for classes, decorating late into the night, heat sealing cookies, packing orders, and repeating it all again the next day. Busy in the very best way.

And it was such a successful month for my little business. In December, I taught two full public cookie decorating classes, along with a whole bunch of private classes, each one filled with creativity, laughter, and some truly beautiful cookies. I also made so many Cookies & Tea gift sets, DIY Kits, and other fun holiday-themed cookies that found their way to cookie platters, gift bags, office parties, and Christmas mornings.

December was full, joyful, exhausting, and incredibly rewarding. I’m so grateful to everyone who ordered cookies, came to a class, gifted a kit, or shared Sunshine Day Bakery with someone they love. Your support is what makes months like this possible, and I don’t take that for a second for granted.

Now it’s time to catch my breath, clean the kitchen, and start dreaming about what’s next.

With sugarplums and sunshine,
Julia 🍪☀️
